About

Ruchdi Maalouf is an independent arbitrator, mediator and consultant with extensive experience in natural resources, energy, commodities and infrastructure.

A dual French and Lebanese national, he is civil law and common law educated and qualified in England & Wales and Ireland. Ruchdi started with Professor Ibrahim Fadlallah in 2001. Under his mentorship, he worked in many arbitrations and was involved in tribunal work from the beginning of his professional career. He joined Herbert Smith in London in 2006, trained as a solicitor, and qualified in the Energy group. He alternated legal and commercial roles in the energy industry, culminating with an appointment to an executive role in the gas industry with one of the largest LNG buyers in the world.
